About Me
Hi! I am Marie Axen, a Speech and Language Pathologist
based in Northern Westchester, New York.
I am a certified member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). I earned my B.S. from New York University and my M.S. from Northeastern University, and I’m licensed in both New York and Connecticut. I also hold a New York State TSSLD and a Connecticut Educator License.
For over 14 years, I’ve worked with students ranging from preschoolers to those preparing for college, with a special focus on developing strong language, literacy, executive functioning, and pragmatic language skills. In addition to my clinical work, I teach and supervise graduate students in Brooklyn College’s Department of Communication Arts, Sciences, and Disorders, as well as in the School of Education.
As a mom of two, I understand firsthand the joys and challenges of raising children. I’m here to be a supportive partner in your child’s growth, celebrating progress every step of the way.
